Common man’s dream of powdery white sandy beaches, warm crystal clear turquoise waters, swaying palm trees and relaxing pleasant evenings is what Aruba is all about.
Aruba’s pride is of course the long beautiful white sand beaches. The beaches of this Caribbean paradise, that still belongs to the Dutch kingdom, is among the most paradisaical and cleanest beaches in the Caribbean, and most of them are easy to get to when on the island.
Eagle Beach
The most beautiful beach in Aruba.
Eagle beach is several kilometers of white beachand a must to visit. The blue sky together with the beautiful clear sea of turquoise and green color an amazing view to the eye.
The beach is only 5 minutes drive from Oranjestad. The hotels in proximity is located across the street and does not affectt the tranquility along the beach and natural beauty with the special divi divi trees framing the beach.
Eagle Beach was named the best beach in the Caribbean, in a survey conducted by USA Today. The beach is also scores high in Tripadvisor’s rating on the world’s most beautiful beaches.
The waves can be quite high but once you pass where the waves break the water is calm .
Palm Beach
A very beautiful beach, located close to many of Aruba’s resorts. A 3 km family beach with calm warm waters. With the proximity to the resorts and restaurants the beach life here is far busier than on Eagle Beach.
Palm Beach is a beach with plenty of activities for those who not only want to lie still on a beach chair. It offers, among other things, lots of water activities and beach volleyball .
Palm Beach has been named one of the world’s best beaches by Condé Nast Traveler.
Baby beach
Baby beach is located on the most southern part of Aruba. The beach is really pretty, as long as you ignore the less beautiful refinery that roams in the background when looking north.
The water here is quite shallow, creating extra-clear emerald green and blue colors in the water. It is protected by a long reef, which means that it will never get high waves. It’s shallow waters make it a great swimming beach for children and families.
Hadicurari Beach
Hadicurari is also called Fisherman’s Huts. It’s a white sandy beach, but with a bit more grit and stones. However, it’s a perfect place for windsurfing and kitesurfing, and equipment for these water sports are available for rent directly on the beach.
Since 1987, there’s an international windsurfing competition held here annually on Hadicurari beach; Hi-Winds Pro Am Windsurfing Competion .
The water is shallow, and there are a lot of fish. Due to the high activity of water sports there are other beaches that are recommended for those who wish to snorkel.
Boca Catalina
Popular beach and great choice of location for snorkeling, with its shallow waters and colorful fish. Boca Cataline is a small beach and be sure to bring your drink and perhaps some snacks since there are no facilities at the beach. There is no public transport to this part of Aruba, and because of this you need a private car or going here by taxi.
