A trip north of Antigua took us trough a beautiful and varied landscape. At the little village of Chichicastenango, or the short nickname Chichi, we headed straight into to a colorful and lively market. The locals were often dressed in wowed patterns in vivid colors specific for each village around this part of Guatemala.
The market offered lots of locally produced products such as clothes, food and all kinds of souvenirs. An old church in one end of the market mixed the Christian beliefs with the old local religions.
