An explosion of colors, smells and cultural impact on the country’s most famous market town of Chichicastenango, or Chichi as it is often called. The women usually wear colorful clothes with patterns that tell which village they come from. Perhaps it is also colorful fabrics and yarns to any of the main number on the market, but there is also much other crafts with local touch for sale.
Chichicastenango is a small village south of Santa Cruz del Quiche. Every Thursday and Sunday, people from all over Central America come here to participate or visit the famous market.
