Koh Kood is sometimes referred to as Ko Kut (Thai: เกาะกูด).
Situated in the Gulf of Siam, about 80 kilometers from Trat city, close to the Cambodian border, lies the island of Koh Kood. Koh Kood is the fourth largest island in Thailand, although there are only around 1500 people living on the island. It’s the second largest island, next to Koh Chang in the Trat Province.
Koh Kood is 25 kilometers long and 12 kilometers wide.
Compared to most of Thailand, very few tourists find their way here and most visitors are domestic travelers, primarily from Bangkok.
Koh Kood is a perfect place to enjoy beautiful beaches, almost all by yourself. When you want to take a pause from lazy days at the beach you can explore the jungle and rainforest. From the mountains in central parts of the island several nice waterfalls originate. Nam Tok Khlong Chao is probably the most famous waterfall on the island and one that people actually can swim in.
